I stood on the beach, with the cold waves crashing against my bare feet. It was just starting to dawn in the simulation, and even though it was a simulation, it was still just as beautiful.
I gazed up at my star and Kylun's. Letting out a sigh, things from the past month passed through my mind.

Kylun had helped pick out a new President for Konsor, and old friend of his apparently.
Valadamir was on death row. Kylun says he's glad he'll be dead. But I see a small part of him that still cares for his twin. [their twins apparently! I kind of guess though haha]

No more harpies have shown their faces. Though now the security is extra high. And not only in the city, but in the Areas as well! So that's nice.
Savrin has gone back to Area 2 to burry his dad that just passed away.

I remember him coming in my room crying.
"He's dead Zaydie. I can't believe my dad's dead." He kept saying.
For a long time we just sat there and cried. I was finally able to take off the necklace with the single credit that Mr. Dralzon had given me so many years ago. I had given it to Savrin, and now he wears it all the time.
Never takes it off.
I think he's happy he has that memory of his dad. I know I would be.

I pulled my blanket closer as the wind picked up a little.
Hands wrapped around my shoulders.
I didn't freak out like I would have at the beginning of this long adventure, seeing as I already knew who it was.
We just stood there for a long time, not wanting the moment to end when the sun came up.
I had a feeling in the pit of my stomach. I wasn't sure why, but I felt... uneasy.

"It's time Zaydie." Kylun said gently. That would be why the feeling was there.
"Your leaving? Like actually leaving?" I asked.
He grunted a yes.
"do you know if you'll come back?"
"when I come back." He corrected. He moved around and stood in front of me.
I searched his silver-red eyes for an answer.
"I don't know when, but I'll come back."
I must have not looked convinced.
"That's a promise!" He said with a playful smile.
I took a breath and smiled back. I nodded.
"Ok. I'll hold you to that."
This made him laugh a little.
He slipped his hand into his high collar and pulled out his medallion.
He slipped it over my head and moved my hair.
"You have ridiculously long hair!" He remarked.
I laughed.
"Well I've never cut it."
"Never?!" he asked in shock as he messed with it.
"My mom might have once. But nope. I haven't had it cut sense then." He nodded. "Why are you going?" My eyes started to get moist.
He shrugged. "I'm not 100% sure, but I think the Creator want's to show me something."
I took a shaky breath and dropped my gaze. Trying to keep myself together.
"Hey, I'm leaving, I'm not gone." He said gently, lifting my chin up. "You'll always have my heart. No matter how far I am."
I nodded. "I know. Just as you have mine. But it'll just be..."
"Hard."
I nodded again and wiped the back of my hand across my eyes.
"Just remember, you never know what could be hiding in the shadows." He stated with a sly grin as he dropped his hands.
"Oh yeah. That's suppose to be comforting.... how?" I remarked sarcastically.
That made him laugh again.
"Yeah well, it's something right?" I nodded as the tears fell.
"Hey, I'm still counting on you to keep your promise to me."
"Which one?"
He smiled and moved some hair out of my face.
"The one you made to me before I died."
oh that one. "Don't ever stop living Zaydie. Your much to full of life to stop living. Ok? Don't mope around and wait for me."
"I don't mope." He cut me off with a look. I sighed. "Alright.... I'll try."
"There is not try. It's just do. Promise?"
"Promise."
He smiled and wiped a tear  off my face.
"Good-bye Zaydie." He then walked away, towards the sea.
The tears ran hard as I ran forward and wrapped my arms around his stomach.
"I'll be waiting.... for you... if you come here... you'll find me... I promise."
I whispered.
"Then I'll come and find you. Even if I have to search every beach. I'll do it." He turned around and pulled me into a hug.
"Don't forget me ok? I swear I won't forget you." He muttered into my hair.
I laughed and squeezed harder.
"How could I forget you Kylun? we're intertwined. From now on, our destinies are the same. So I swear that I won't ever forget you." I answered.
"Thanks."
I let go and took several steps back in the cool sand. Clutching his medallion against my chest.
He turned slightly and gave me a two fingered salute.
"See you around Kana." I laughed a little as he smiled at me.
Through the tears I watched the sunrise. And Kylun started to turn see-through!
Parts of him faded before others.
He ran into the ocean head-on and dove before a large wave swallowed him up, and carrying out of my sight.
I took a shaky breath and looked up at the two fading stars.
"I won't ever forget you Kylun... that's a promise!"

Ok so Kylun's not dead, that's great. And they finally kissed! gosh I thought they never would.
I'm serious, I'm real happy for them.
But had Quorra been able to get that remote programmed yet?

"Quorra, what's up?" I called, standing up. I glanced over my shoulder. Kylun was watching Zaydie sleep. When she had fallen over like that I freaked. But after such a powerful healing, that was getting off easy.
I walked over to Valadamir who had witnessed everything. I took Ryota and bashed him upside the head, knocking him out.
"I'm trying to figure out the kill code right now. But these things take time." Quorra responded. She sounded stressed.
"We might not have time." I said gloomily.

"ah... I see you have done me a favor." I jerked and looked around.
The dark sky prevented me from seeing much.
I gripped Ryota harder as I braced myself.
"Who are you?" I called out. I heard a cackle. Oh dear.
I sensed Zaydie run up next to me. Wow, that was quick.
Kylun came up on my other side. I glanced at the two of them.
"Are you sure you should be moving around?"
They both shot me a look.
"I'm fine." They said in unison.
I shook my head. "Iyiyi." I muttered.

We all turned into a circle with our back to each other.
"It may seem a little cleché, but I can be two things, a blessing. Or a nightmare. Choose wisely."
We all glanced at each other.
"Uh-huh." Zaydie stated in a clear 'I'm-definitely-not-convinced' way.
"Well it's true. Zaydie your worse nightmare is to loose your friends."
Coming from someone we couldn't see, it shocked Zaydie.
"Or should I be more specific, you don't want to loose him." Zaydie and I both turned and we found Kylun suspended in mid-air. His feet and hands were stretched out, and bound by... blue stuff.
We looked down and found a man with silver hair and a black robe that had a silver zipper down the front. Along with some weird tassel thing at the base of his collar.
"Well seeing as I gave something real important to bring him back the first time he died. Yeah!"
Zaydie was mad.
Real mad.

But that's when the silver-haired dude twisted his fist.
A sudden force had me locked. I couldn't move. Ryota disappeared, so at least he couldn't take it.
"Good. Your angry. Very good. Only with anger will you be of any good to me or to the rest of the Fallen. " The Fallen?
Zaydie froze.
"What do you mean by 'any good to me'?" She asked.
"No! Zaydie don't even-" Kylun suddenly shouted out in pain. I watched as Kylun went into spasms.
But what was even weirder, and freakier, was that Zaydie screamed and fell to her knees as well.
"Aw... my poor child." The man bent down on one knee. "It would seem that the two of you are far more connected then I thought."
Zaydie looked up at him through the tears that ran down her cheeks.
"So, all of you have a choice." he turned to look at Kylun and I.
"You," he turned to Kylun. "Can save the only girl you've ever loved, but you will have to work for me and the others. And in order to do that, all you have to do is let the anger and loneliness you've felt for so many years, loose.
All you," he turned to me. The spasms stopped for Kylun, though he wasn't able to support his weight, he hung from his bonds, trying to breathe.
Zaydie was on all fours panting.
"have to do is give yourself over and the two of them go free. Or them and that cute girl up stairs will be enduring some major pain for a long time."
A million thoughts passed through my head.
But before I could say anything, he turned to Zaydie.
Which made both of us boys tense.
"And you my dear. Can same them all. By doing the exact same thing.
Or they both die."
Zaydie's breathing had eased a little though she still looked in pain.
"I will."
She gasped and looked up.
Kylun's head hung. He avoided eye contact.
"Don't. You. Dare." Zaydie ordered through gritted teeth.
She turned to the Puppeteer.
"You know, I feel sorry for you." A look of confusion crossed his face. "You grow in the dark. Lost and confused. You can't see up from down, wrong from right. Your so lost that you have to take everything with you into the darkness in order to control it.
You cringe in the sunshine.
You don't know the strength that the Creator gives you. That your friends give you." A look of determination was on her face.
But the Puppeteer’s grew cold.
Twisting his fist again, Kylun yelled as pain shot through his body.
Zaydie shook her head but the pain was clear on her face.
"Almost have it guys!" Quorra yelled over the com.
"But you know?" Zaydie pushed herself to her feet. " I have friends. Ones that I trust with my life... ones that will always be my friends no matter what they do." She cringed as another wave of pain came.
I wanted to do something! But I couldn't even move! [talk about useless]
Zaydie called Takara and she appeared in sword form.
The Puppeteer rose to his feet and shook his head.
"Wrong answer." All three of us cried out. Incredible pain washed over out bodies.
Through the tears I saw Zaydie still standing, her lips moved rapidly.
"you know what to do!"
Tasin said in my head.
I glanced around. Focusing on my hands, I used all my strength to will them to move.
They did.
In a flash I was beside Zaydie. She had Takara in both hands. Kylun teleported to us and had a very determined look on his face.
"You will never win." The Puppeteer shouted. Zaydie started to form a spinning wall of wind around all of us. To prevent him from running.
"That's where you have it wrong." Kylun answered.
"If we have the Creator on our side-"
"no one can stand against us." Zaydie finished with a hard look.
Ryota appeared in my hands, and Shiro in Kylun's.
The Puppeteer brought out two round disks, with spikes on the rims. [and they were huge by the way]

Kylun made the first move by surrounding the Puppeteer in a bubble of water. But he quickly broke through that and ran at us head on.
We all scattered and Zaydie made the ring of wind higher and wider. Giving us more fighting ground.
Kylun and I met the Puppeteer head on and held him back.
Zaydie snuck around behind him and slashed down at his back.
He growled and spun around giving  Zaydie new cuts on her face.
That made both Kylun and I mad, and we dove at him again.
This went on for a good while.
No one seemed to be winning, yet no one seemed to be loosing either.

Zaydie jumped between us.
"I can't hold out any longer. I haven't fully recovered yet and all that electricity he shot through.... well Kylun I guess, didn't help." She said.
I nodded.
"wait if it went through me then how did it get to you?" Kylun asked.
Zaydie shook her head.
"Remind me to tell you latter. Let's use these Powers the Creator has given us." She suggested.
We nodded and pointed our weapons at the Puppeteer.
Giving it all we had.
Zaydie's wind created a vortex that started to suck him in. Kylun drenched him, which made him vulnerable to electricity.
Out of no where rocks started to spin up around him and pelt him like crazy.
"We'll meet again. Mark my words." Then he disappeared through a black door.

We all sighed, and collapsed on the ground.
The wind wall disappeared and Quorra landed in front of us on an air board.
"Well it's nice of you to leave me a little." She stated. slinging one of her pistols over her shoulder.
We laughed.
Quorra ran over,  making her guns disappear, and we all gave a group hug on our knees.
Then Quorra flung her arms around my neck and squeezed real tight.
I could hear her crying into my shoulder. After a moment's hesitation, I hugged her back.
"I thought I'd never see you again." She whispered.
I smiled and squeezed her tight.
She felt so small! [Hey! I'm just sayin'! It was a passing thought]
"Can't get rid of me that easy." I whispered back.
She sniffed and pulled away a little, thought not enough to break my hold around her waist.
"Good! Because I'm not ready to let you go yet!"
I laughed.
"Good to hear."
She then turned around and leaned against me and sighed. I leaned back on my hands and looked up as the grey clouds cleared and you could actually see the blue skies again.
Feelings started that day. Lots of them!
I don't know what they might lead to, but I know that with the Creator as my guide, and my friends by my side, I'll face what ever life throws at me, headstrong.

Kylun and I ran down the halls of the Presidential mansion as fast as we could.
I glanced back over my shoulder to make sure no Scouts were following us. But I couldn't make any promises, the whole mansion was flooded with them.
"We have to hurry." I said as calmly as I could. Kylun glanced at me. I met his gaze and saw my own fear reflected.
I offered my hand. With out the slightest hesitation, Kylun took it.
Together we dashed down halls, jumped over stairs, ducked for cover when we saw a solider.
"This is insane." I whispered as we flattened ourselves against a wall.
"I agree, but Savrin and Quorra need that part so we have to get it to them." I nodded.
"OK then. Let's do this."

We were in Valadamir's rooms, frantically searching for that kill switch.
I passed the overly large windows that faced the grassy courtyards. Outside even through the grey sky, and the fog that was sprouting up, I saw him.
"Kylun!"
He was by my side in a flash. With one glance out the window he marched off.
I took one last look out the window, then ran off to keep up with Kylun.
"What are you going to do?!" I asked. He didn't look at me, he just kept making his way down the large stairs.
"I'm going to kill him."
Searching his eyes desperately, I found that he was being dead honest.
"Fine. We have a better chance if there's two of us." I started. Through my senses I saw him shoot a shocked look at me.
"Well, I'm not about to let you go fight your brother by yourself!" I stated.
Coming to the last stair, Kylun gripped my shoulders. Hard.
"You are going to stay right here." He said with a harsh tone. I was about to argue, but he continued. "There's no way I'm going to let you in on this fight. Savrin needs that piece. Get it to him. I'll deal with my brother."
I let out a frustrated groan. Starring him down with equal stubbornness. But he was set on this.
"ugh! Fine! but as soon as Sav has that piece, I'm coming back." I stated.
"Don't join the fight Zaydie. Don't do it. You won't be able to help." He sure does have a way of making a girl feel utterly useless.
He suddenly leaned forward and planted a kiss on my forehead.
Then he dashed to the door.
"See you in Paradise." He shouted to me with his usual cocky grin and a wink.

After a moments hesitation, I dashed up the stairs and ransacked the rooms.
I had to hurry. If I didn't then.... no he couldn't have meant that... could he?
Kylun's last words rang through my head.
He did. He was saying good-bye.
This thought gave me new energy and I was more determined to find this piece then before.
I finally found it under the pillows. [of all places] Taking it out and concentrating on it, I made it float up into the air.
Pushing it with my hand I sent it zooming through the corridors Kylun and I had just came down, and back to Savrin and my little sis.
Once it was there, and Sav said he had it. I dashed back down stairs.
The clash of metal ran through the hall.
I shoved open the front door and stepped outside.

Kylun was locked under his brother's sword when I came running out, which made them both look up.
Kylun took advantage of this and threw his brother to the ground.
"Zaydie what did I say?!" He growled.
"Watch out!" I screamed. I summoned Zindra and aimed. Letting the arrow go, it pierced Valadamir's arm.
I aimed for another only I wasn't quick enough. Valadamir sent a wave of knives at me.
"No!"
I braced myself for the worst, but... it never came. I opened my eyes and saw that the knives had stopped in a perfect half circle about several feet away.
I looked up and found Kylun attacking Valad again.
"She stays out of this." He demanded.
They pushed each other apart and were now circling each other like hawks.
"Well duh! Your the one who's keeping the force shield around her." Valad shot back.
I gasped. If that was true then,... that meant two things.
1) Kylun's Mark has given him several abilities, the force shields being one of them [but obviously you already knew that] however, one can only keep a Power going for so long or it'll deplete your energy source.
And 2) Kylun's shields won't let me help.

Putting my hands out in front of me, I took several small steps till my hands got zapped and I jerked back. I tried to think frantically to see if there was anything I could do that would let me get out.
"Don't Zaydie." A sudden voice cut through to me.
I looked back at the fight in front of me.
"Just let me do this. Stay out of it." I met Kylun's gaze, even though he was in middle of a battle, he still had that reserved, cool face. But his eyes were screaming several things.
He wanted to prove to his brother that he was stronger then him. And he didn't want me to get hurt in the process. The second one overruled the first though.
At the moment I was really, really frustrated.
I felt so helpless, so useless.
I just sat there, watching the two of them beat the crap out of each other.

Valadamir, you would think, would be loosing, seeing as it was Kylun that went through the military training. But they both were surprisingly good.
Air jumps were to Kylun's advantage. But I knew he that he couldn't use any of his other Powers till he took this force shield down. And apparently Valadamir knew that too.

Kylun jumped in the air, his sword above his head for the death blow. But on his way down, Valadamir took his two samurai swords to Kylun's, clashing it so hard that it flung out of Kylun's reach, and skidded down next to me.
Valadamir jumped up and hit his brother with one foot, then took his other and pushed Kylun to the ground.
Kylun landed on his face, I heard a loud crack, and shuddered.
He quickly rolled over and out of the way as his brother brought down his swords.
Using his feet and arms to push himself backwards, Valadamir came at him in a slow pace. Like he was tormenting him. I glanced down at his sword. Then made Takara appear in my own.
I had to help.
Some how! But how, was the question.

"You loose brother." Valad stated. "I might not have been able to go through military training, but what a fat lot that did you."
Kylun was still crawling backwards, but soon he would be pinned against the mansion's walls. I started to gather up energy quickly.
"I know that I should be grateful. I became President! I control all of Konsor! what more could I want?! Well..." half of me wished he would just tell us what he was planning. The other half doubted it.
"You'll just have to find out." dang it. "But I'll give you a clue." Ok I'll take that. "It took me quiet a few years to think this all up. And then all the planning  took even longer. But now it's almost ready.
Everyone is almost ready. It's almost time. They have taught me quiet a lot, so things will finally be mine. Just as they said. But, unfortunately, you are not welcome in the new world.
Especially you."
That's when I saw just how much Valadamir hated Kylun.
I had never seen such hate in someone. It scared me.
"Come on Valad. Think about this. You already have the whole city. What more could you want?" Kylun asked.
Valadamir scoffed.
"They have made their decision." What?
Kylun glanced at me. I quickly pointed at his sword.
He nodded.
But before I could pick it up, Valadamir raised his arm for the death blow.
"No! don't!!" I screamed, jumping to my feet. Both of them looked at me.
"Can't you see?" I asked. "You can't kill him."
"Why not?!" That really got to Valad.
"Because, if you kill him, then all of Dresher will fall! things will collapse, people will die. The peace and triumph will be short lived! Kylun is the key to stopping all that!
He's the one that can keep Dresher up on it's feet. But not if he's dead." The ending sentence was a plea. One that I hoped would cut through Valad's anger.
He just scoffed. "Of course! It was always him! He was always looked at like some special being that would save the world. While I got thrown aside like a piece of trash!" I gasped quietly. "That's one reason why I tried to kill mom and dad. I managed to kill mom, but dad ran away. Ha! coward.
I had through I had destroyed you as well," He said. Addressing Kylun. "But it seems I have failed. Oh well, no matter, you'll be dead soon. But first, she has a choice." He pointed a sword at me. "Either she stay with me, and give up her friends. Or dies right in front of you. And you won't be able to help her."
"You leave her alone!" Kylun shouted.
"Sorry. All you will be able to do is watch."
"No please! Don't! We need him! I-" I cut myself off. But if this was were we died, then he may as well know.
"I need him."
Dead silence. The unnerving kind of silence.
Valadamir's jaw dropped.
"You... your in love with him." He said quietly. I was starring at my feet, I could sense Kylun's eyes on me.
I faced Valadamir with a determined face.
"Yes. I suppose I do. So there is no way on this planet that I'll ever even think of staying with you! I would rather die!" I shouted.
I risked a glance at Kylun. And smiled when I saw a grin work it's way on to his face. I met his gaze and gave a slight nod.
But that's when it all went wrong.

Kylun's face was suddenly full of pain and shock. I heard myself screaming as I watched the sword pierce his chest.
"NO!!" I forced out my hands, pushing against my prison. Kylun was still breathing, and I knew that he would save me, even if the price meant him going to Paradise.

With sudden power, I broke the cage. The shock wave threw Valad off his feet.
I gripped Takara harder and charged him.
We spun around each other in a dangourise dance.
I knew that I had to hurry or I wouldn't get to Kylun in time to heal him.
Valadamir charged with his two swords out in front of him. Aimed for my face.
I waited till last minute to jump out of the way. I landed behind him and sliced his back. He yelled and spun around.
We fought for several minutes. I used my Powers to cheat. But several times he cut my clothes. Once he cut my shirt right where my Mark is.
I pushed my hand out in front of me and forced his swords to form an 'X' at his throat.
"Killed by your own swords. Now that's got to be a disgrace." I stated in a dull tone.
"Why don't you just kill me already?!" He demanded after a few moments with him on his knees. I hesitated. Half of me wanted to do it. I wanted him to pay! I wanted it badly.
But the other half... me ... knew it wasn't right.
"Because I'm not you." I spat. "Now get out of here. And if I ever see you again. I promise you I won't let you go so easily."
I then marched off in steady paces.
I heard him pick up his swords that I had dropped, I sensed him charge. I ducked and spun on my knees. Slashing his legs and causing him to fall. I swept my hands out in front of me and his swords curled themselves around his arms and then dug themselves deep into the ground, forcing him to keep his hands strait at his sides.

I ran over to Kylun, kneeling down next to him, I unzipped his jacket.
Moving it away slowly, I found that his whole upper chest was bloody.
And by the blood loss, I knew.
Turning back to his face, I gently lifted his head and rested it on my lap.
"That bad huh?" He asked in a raspy voice. I didn't answer. I could feel the tears starting to weld up.
I reached out and did something I always wanted to do, but never had the guts before. I started to stroke his hair gently.
He locked me in his gaze, and I found that I couldn't have looked away even if I wanted to.
"Sav. You need to get down here. Now." I said into the com. Trying to keep my voice from breaking.
"On my way. Almost got the computer to work-" He must have heard me crying.
"Zaydie what happened?"
"Kylun's down... doesn't look good Sav."
I then took my ear piece out and gave Kylun my full attention.
"Did you mean it?" He asked.
"Mean what?" But when he stared at me, his eyes gave me the answer. I chuckled through the tears.
"Yeah. I really did mean it." I answered.
"Why didn't you ever tell me? before now."
I laughed and looked up, the wind froze my tears and made me shiver.
"Because... I guess I was afraid."
"Afraid?"
"Yeah..."
"Why?"
I sighed.
"Because I was scared that I would get up the courage to tell you,... but you wouldn't feel the same." I muttered, finally looking him in the eye again. I felt horrible for the fact that I was only able to tell him this while he lay dying on my lap!
A smile appeared on his face.
"All you had to do was ask. That's all you still have to do."
I didn't get it at first.
"What are...." I smiled as I figured it out. "How about it Kylun? any feelings I should know of?"
He got that cocky grin again.
"Yup."
"Oh? and what kind are these?" I asked.
"Ones I never want to forget. They started the first time I ever saved you. You felt so fragile in my arms. And that's when I started to grow close to you. When I opened up. You were the Creator's answer to my prayers Zaydie." He intertwined his fingers in-between mine. I couldn't breathe, and my heart began to ache.
"It took me a little while to figure out these feelings, and what they meant. But as I did, I saw a new life. A new way of living. A new dream. One that I had hopped to live out after all this.
One that had you in it." I guess shock was on my face again, because he smiled. "I guess now that won't be happening."
"Don't talk like that." I protested. He shot me a look.
"We both know you can't fix it." He struggled for air.
"Maybe you shouldn't talk."
He shook his head. Stubborn pig.
"I want you to know Zaydie, that you've always had a special place in my heart. You always have, and always will. I will always be with you, even if I'm not here."
My tears fell.
"Kylun..." I whispered.
"Just promise me-" He gasped as he tried to breathe.
"anything."
"Promise me you won't... stop living."
At first I was speechless. But then I was able to finally nod.
"Yes. Yes! I promise."
He smiled. Raising his empty hand he touched my cheek. Taking my own, I held it there.
Closing my eyes and memorizing the feel of his touch. [when it didn't involve saving me]
"I'll be waiting for you." He whispered. I looked back down at him as a new heart ache tore through my chest. "But before I... go... can you do something for me?"
I nodded.
"I think that right now you could get me to do just about anything." I said with a smile.
He grinned. "Would you sing me somethin'? Quorra says your a great singer, and I'd like to hear it at least once. Your voice I mean."
More tears came down my cheeks as I did another thing I had always wanted to do.
Keeping a firm grip on his hand, I lied down next to him on the grass and looked up as the sun started to peak through the dark clouds.
Oh so now you decide to show up huh?

"We watched the clouds as
they drifted by,
we felt the sky change
color.

We noticed it as we
stood there,
a melody woven by
a changing world."

I began to wonder how much of this particular song I would be able to sing through with out my voice cracking.

"Tugging on it with my
outstretched fingers,
I look for the one
thing that hasn't
changed.

I hold a light in my
hand.
A small marker
that points towards
tomorrow.

It echoes even
now.
I swear on the
vow
I made that day
That I will go on.

But just know.
you go on with me,
even if you are gone."

I took a deep and shaky breath as I tried to keep my voice from cracking.
"Quorra was right." I turned my head to see Kylun's face only inches from my own. He smiled at me. "You do have an amazing voice."
"Thank you. I don't use it much these days. But it's still something I like to do. Because it brings a smile on to anyone listening."
Another pain washed over me. The time was closing. He would be gone soon...
"Thank you Kylun." I whispered as he rubbed his thumb on my hand. "Thank you for the memories I'll treasure forever, and the best time I'll ever have in my life." I said through a tight throat.
"No... thank... you... k...a..."
That's when his chest stopped rising and his eyes closed.
That's when Savrin showed up.
And that's when the tears started to fall hard.
"He's gone. He wont' be coming back." I told Sav in-between sobs.
Savrin squatted down on the other side of Kylun's lifeless body.
I looked at Kylun's face. It looked so peaceful. Like he had gotten everything he wanted in life. That he had a good life.
And maybe he did. I only came into it near the end.
The wind picked up and swept my hair in front of my eyes. It played with his black spiked hair that was always in his eyes.
"Did he say anything?" Savrin asked quietly.
"yeah... he said that he loved me... he said that he won't ever forget me."
Savrin let out a sigh.
"But he's gone now. And there was something that I couldn't hear! Something that I won't ever know now." I broke down and cried again.
"Zaydie. I think we-you, might be able to bring him back."
I looked up with a wild expression I'm sure.
"How?"
"You remember when you told us that your Mark meant 'I'm waiting'?"
"Yeah." I failed to see where this was going.
"Well, it also says that when the rose 'wakes up' you healing powers would be much, much stronger."
"Yes but-"
"look at your Mark Zaydie." I glanced down and through the torn fabric, I saw that in the middle of the rectangle was no longer a closed rosebud, but a rose in full bloom.
My face lit up.
"do you really think...?"
Sav shrugged.
"It's worth a go."
Yes but how?...

I scanned Kylun's body, but my eyes finally stopped at his face. Well... this will be awkward.
But I was determined. So I took a deep breathe and leaned down, gently pressing against Kylun's cold lips.
At first nothing happened, and I started to get panicky.
But there was suddenly a voice in my head.
"do you know what your doing daughter?"
"No not really." I answered honestly. I had no clue!
"In order to bring him back, you will have to let me intertwine your souls. Your destinies. Your very being." it was the Creator himself...
"Yes Father... I understand. But he can't go yet! we still have a job to do!"
"...Very well. You have my blessing. But remember, he will still have to go. But I can promise you, you will meet up with him again some time down the road."

I then felt a warm feeling inside me. It came up my throat, past my lips and into his.
I pulled away and Savrin and I watched.

Again it took several moments for anything to work.
But I saw his skin start to become it's usual color, and then his chest started to rise and fall. I could feel his heart beating faster as if it was my own. He suddenly coughed and his eyes fluttered open. Making me jump.
"Kylun?" Half of me was scared that this wasn't real. Some kind of dream or something.
His eyes looked around wildly, but they finally landed on me. Reaching up he touched my cheek again.
A smile grew from ear to ear on both of us. He was back!
His hand slid behind my neck and he pulled me down.
"I'm back..." He whispered. "...Kana." I gasped. Then he pulled me lower and pressed his lips against mine. Only this time, they were warm.
My mind spun! Kana. He called me Kana! That was what he was trying to say before!
Now I thought of all this after Kylun got his share of kissing me.
And to be honest, I really don't know how long we kissed, I don't know if Sav watched, but at the moment I didn't really care.
Kylun's hand held my neck firmly, not letting me move if I wanted to, and mine twisted it's self in his hair.
I probably could have stayed there forever, if it weren't for the fact that I was getting light headed and dizzy.

I pulled away gently. Taking a deep breath I sat back on my heels. That's when I noticed just how tired I really was.
It's probably side affects from my Power. I thought.
"Sorry... I'm just really... tired." I said quietly. I collapsed on to the ground next to Kylun. I remember seeing his scared and worried eyes above me.
"Zaydie?" He asked. I reached up and touched his cheek with my finger tips. It was all flustered. Ha, mine probably was too. [Savrin says I was pink all over.]
"I'm fine... really... I'm just tired." I answered.
Kylun nodded.
"Ok, that's fine. go to sleep then." And I did. A nice and peaceful sleep. [even if it was short.]
I was content knowing that Kylun was right beside me, holding my hand.
Like I knew he would for the rest of my life.

Now I wish I could say that's where our story ends. But really... it's just the beginning.

As soon as we had changed back into our everyday clothes, we got down to business.
"Ok so, we need to find this missing piece which could be who knows where, along with this room which could be anywhere in the mansion, am I right?" Zaydie asked walking into the computer room.
I grinned as I saw that she had changed back into her old Shieven outfit. Complete with her favorite silver scarf wrapped around her waist.

She was gathering up her dark brown hair into a pony tail on the top of her head, when she stood behind Quorra.
"Yup. That pretty much sums it up." Quorra stated.
Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Kylun sneaking.
I grinned and pretend not to see anything. But I subtly pointed to Zaydie's lower ribcage.
Then placed a fist in front of my mouth to keep from laughing.

Kylun snuck up quietly, and jabbed Zaydie's ribcage.
She screamed and jumped.
Turning around, she found the both of us laughing.
"Why you!" She dove for Kylun, who dodged while he tried to regain his breath.
She finally caught him and started to tickle him.
Soon Kylun was laughing so hard that he had no voice and he was practically falling over!
[Zaydie think's I'm "over exaggerating" but I'm not! Honest!]
Zaydie, of course, was laughing right along with him.
"I'm agreeing with you Sav," Quorra said as the two of us watched Zaydie try to breathe. "She has gone mental."
I chuckled and nodded.
"Absolutely. Mental."

The two of them finally calmed down enough, to walk in a strait line.
"I think the room is like you said," Quorra started, gesturing to Zaydie. [who was sobering up] "Somewhere in the mansion. Have you ever found any secret rooms anywhere?" She asked, turning to Kylun.
Who was... trying  to at least look serious. [Sorry Zaydie, but I can't help but laugh!]
"I think... yeah once when I was little Valad and I were exploring and we found a room like that one." He pointed to the hexagon shaped room. "But in recent years, I can't seem to find the door anymore. It's like he erased it or something."
We all sighed.
"You're a big help." Zaydie mumbled. But quickly moved on to keep him from saying anything in his defense. [but he still shot her the look]
"Sav, can you lock onto one of the pillars?" She questioned.
"I can try."
they all nodded.
Concentrating on using my Power, and sending up a prayer of guidance as well, I activated my locking signal.

Subconsciously as the longitude and the latitude numbers flashed in front of my eyes, I typed them into the computer.
Once they were in, I let the Power go.
Moving away from the computer, Quorra ran them through a program.
"Hmm..." We all glanced over her shoulder.
"It's hidden somewhere here." She pointed to a wall on the south wing of the mansion.
"Alright. Lets go then." I said.

Quorra was the one that didn't go with us seeing as Kylun still could only teleport two people.
But Zaydie made sure that she had a way of getting to us fast if she had to.
Then we were zapped to the south wing.
Fun.
[if you just smiled there's something massively wrong with you!]

                                                                                    F

Valadamir was on to us from the beginning. [ok, I don't know that for sure. But! I'm pretty sure.]
As soon as we found ourselves in front of the wall we were suspecting the room was in, we surprised many Scouts that were standing guard of... something... what? we weren't sure exactly.

All at once, we were under fire. Zaydie had pulled on her blue armor, and had Takara [shield form] in her hands in an instant.
Ryota was by my side as I was ready to deflect bullets.
But we didn't need to. Because Kylun put up a force shield around us.
Zaydie gazed at it, as the hinges of her jaw broke.
"What?!?! Oh that's so unfair." She stated, crossing her arms and pouting. [You were pouting! When ever that bottom lip sticks out, your pouting.]
"Ok someone had better come up with a good plan for those guys." Kylun shouted. Ignoring Zaydie's remark.
"Well, our covers been blown completely now, so I say we finish it." Zaydie said as we looked at the Scouts who looked like they had just seen a ghost.
I nodded.
Zaydie then placed her hand out in the empty air between us.
The two of us placed ours on top. We nodded and pushed them all down a little. Then we held each other's hands and sent up a prayer.

Kylun explained that his force shields kept everything out, along with everything in.
"I'll use my wind thing to get rid of them, so you'll need to let me out." Zaydie announced, gripping the straps on Takara harder.
"No. That's out of the question." Kylun objected.
Zaydie rolled her eyes at him.
"Kylun. It's not that I don't appreciate the gesture. But the whole brother thing is Sav's job." She explained, patting my leather jacket. That didn't seem to convince him.
She groaned. "I'm the only one who can do it with out dying! If I wear my armor, I'll be fine. You can't do it," She gestured to Kylun. "Because your shield won't let you. And Sav can't because he has no good defense that doesn't take up most of his energy and concentration." Zaydie argued.
... She did have a point.
Now it was Kylun's turn to groan.
"Don't. Die." He ordered.
Zaydie's eyes grew big and she glanced at me.
"Because, I might have more use of you latter." He finished starring her right in the eye.
Why do I feel like such a third wheel?
Zaydie nodded, and Kylun shrunk the shield, so it was just around me and him.
Zaydie's armor was back on, and Takara was at her side.
She held the shield close to her chest, ignoring all the bullets bouncing off her body.
She then suddenly spun on her heel 360°.
Wind whipped around us, and it was so powerful that it knocked every Scout down and out.
She stopped the wind and Takara disappeared in light.
She then turned and marched over to the wall and started to tap it with her knuckles.
They hit something hollow and she glanced down as she took two steps back.
Shoving her hands out in front of her, a section of the wall moved inward, and slid to the right.
Turning back to us, she placed a hand on her hip and cocked an eyebrow.
"Going to make the gal do all the work. Your such gentlemen." She mocked.
Kylun let the shield down and rolled his eyes.
We walked past her and into the room, but not before Kylun playfully yanked her ponytail.
"Ow. What's with you all of a sudden?" She asked with a hint of a smile, pulling her hair over her shoulder.
Kylun shrugged.
"Just enjoying the moment." He remarked with a playful smile.
Zaydie shook her head and jumped him. She laughed as she pushed both of our heads down, then she ran up into the room before us.

We met up with her and glanced around.
"What have we gotten ourselves into?" Kylun muttered. I shook my head.
I have no clue.

Soon we were all examining the seventh pillar in middle of the room.
"Um... Quorra, where on earth do we find this missing piece?!" Zaydie screamed into the com.
"Can't Sav track it?" She asked.
I shook my head.
"It's got some kind of cloaking device that prevents me from getting it's exact cordnets."
Everyone was quiet.
"But... I can tell you it's general location. Then at least you know where to look." I suggested.
"Ok sounds good." Zaydie said quickly.

Finding the piece and telling them where to find it was the easy part.
But deciding on who would go and get it, eh, not so much.
"Well I'm going period because there is of no use for me here." Zaydie stated.
Us guys groaned.
"If you stay here, you'll be safer." I said. Trying to plead with her.
"And if something were to happen to you, I won't make it." Kylun added. We both turned to him confused.
"You won't make it?" Zaydie asked.
Kylun looked like he would beat himself up. But he just nodded.
Understanding and shock came across Zaydie's face. [obviously, I was still confused.]
"Do you mean, that if something were to happen to me, you wouldn't make it through life?..." A thought must have struck her. Not a very happy one by the looks of it. "Or... do you mean you won't make it through what ever journey you're going to have to go through?" She asked with her head down.
"Both."
Zaydie looked up with one of the saddest faces I had ever seen her wear. I had only seen it once before. When her mom died.
Oh... boy... that's great. So he has a crush on her. Not that I couldn't already tell that. It was obvious.

Zaydie sighed.
"Well. Then I guess I'll have to make sure nothing happens to me." She had her mind set. Brother.
"Quorra. You might help Sav better if you were actually here." Zaydie remarked into the com.
"Sure thing. And did I just hear what I thought I just heard?" Quorra inquired. Both of us boys looked up at Zaydie. A smile grew on her lips as she turned Takara into sword form.
"Yup." She answered.
"And is this going to lead to where I think  it'll lead?"
Zaydie glanced at Kylun as she took slow steps backwards.
"Maybe."
My jaw dropped. But Kylun was grinning.
"Maybe?! Zaydie you can't just leave me hanging here like this!"
Zaydie laughed and gestured for Kylun to follow her.
"Sure I can. I just did."
Then she did a back flip out of the room, with Kylun right on her tail. They dashed off.
Now I definitely knew I was the third wheel!

Well my dress was gorgeous. I just have to say. haha.
Quorra’s was too just for the record.
The boys were both dressed up, but a little more casual then us girls. [in other words, no bow ties.]
But they still had the jacket, and shirts with cuffs, and slacks.

“We’re actually going to wear this?” Kylun asked. I nodded to his displeasure.
“Oh toughen up! you can handle one night.” I said picking up my own dress.
“Now go get dressed!” I ordered walking off into the bedroom.
Oh yeah... this’ll be fun.

My dress had a drop waist, [but not a mermaid style one] the skirt was poofy and a light blue. The bodice had thin straps over my shoulders, then a pink sheen material wrapped around the entire bodice and half the skirt. It also formed sleeves that fell off my shoulders. The pink was studded with small crystal hearts that were along the skirt. It was really pretty!
Thankfully for me, the top part of the bodice wasn’t revealing at all, so that part was good, and neither was Quorra’s. [I made sure of that]

Quorra’s was green. Hers was a Cinderella gown. It had a big poofy skirt, and a corset bodice.
The main material was made of a light green, but then a darker green sheen material draped around the top, pinned there by dozens of small crystal flowers.
The neck line was a halter top, but with a high back [unlike most of them]

We stood in front of a floor length mirror and looked at each other as we slipped our feet into high heels.
“Wow...” Quorra whispered. “We look totally awesome!” Quorra exclaimed clasping her hands together and giggling.
“Except, we need proper hair do’s if we’re going to go to Genesis’ ball.” I said. Moving my hands over Quorra’s hair, it twisted it’s self into a pretty curly mess on the top of her head. Sprinkled with crystal flowers.
“Ooh!” She jumped up and down as she turned. “Boy are guys going to be shocked!” I smiled and did my own hair. Forming it into a few ringlets, but then some of it was strait and tied up into a knot on my head. Ringlets hung around the back of my neck, and several strands fell into my eyes.
“Hmm... not bad.” I said quietly.
“What do you say we go first so they have to find us?” Quorra asked. I smiled at her and nodded.
“Sure.”
Pulling up a shroud to hid us from them, and them from us [the boys I mean] Quorra and I snuck into the computer room. As we stepped in, Quorra hollered.
“Go on ahead, we’ll be a minute!”
Then we floated in oblivion for a moment.

When we opened our eyes again, we found that we were in the largest room I had ever seen! The ceiling rose high and shaped into a dome. And it was all glass so you could see the stars shining.
The glass replaced most of the walls, save a few.

We were standing near the edge of the ball room and it looked like the party had only just begun.
Looking around I didn’t see any one I recognized.
I sighed and started to sway back and forth. Humming along with the music.

“You guys sure are easy- whoa!”
We both turned to see Kylun and Savrin walk up.
Kylun looked extremely like his brother. It was so weird.
He had on a black suit, with a red button up shirt and a black tie. Though the tie hung loose, and the first button on his shirt was undone, he still looked... dashing I guess.
Savrin wore a black suit as well with a plain white shirt, though he had a yellow flower on his jacket. That was the fanciest I had ever seen him in!

Well while us girls studied them, they studied us. With their jaws hanging wide open of course. [haha]
Kylun was the first to snap out of it.
“Well you defiantly don’t see that everyday.” he stated crossing his arms over his chest.
We girls glanced at our outfits to see what he was talking about.
“What does that mean?” Quorra asked.
“I just mean you don’t dress up like that everyday that’s all.” Kylun explained.
I smiled.
“I’ll take that as a complement.” I said, smiling at him.
“You do that.” I shook my head and laughed. Typical Kylun.

Trumpets sounded and the music died down. Everyone stopped dancing and turned to the large doors at the end of the room.
They opened and one of the cutest guys I had ever laid eyes on walked through. [what?! I’m a girl I can’t help it! so stop laughing Sav!]
He had red hair, and... silver eyes. He was a Shievan!
He wore complete black, with a red cloth in his jacket pocket.
As he walked down in between the people, not a smile appeared on his face. He reminded me of Kylun. Always on guard, all work and no play.
He nodded to people that spoke up to him as he made his way down to the opposite side of the ball room.
He walked right past me and the rest of the gang. His eyes widened as I smiled and sunk into a graceful curtsy. [it seemed the right thing to do. That’s all I can say]
He kept his eyes on me as he walked off.
“Well that was weird.” Quorra whispered. “Just remember. This is the past, so no meddling or we’ll mess up the future. Got it girl?!” She asked.
I turned to her in mocked shock.
“Who do you think I am?” I asked playfully pointing to myself.
“A sucker for hot guys.” Quorra answered, giving me a wink.
My jaw dropped.
“Quorra!”
“Oh look! Ice cream!” She then walked off. I shook my head.
“What did she say?” Kylun asked with one of his sly grins. I shook my head.
“Nothing! Ignore anything you just heard, because I assure you it was a lie!”
“Uh-huh.” Yeah I didn’t think that would convince him.
“Well you guys have fun!” he said as he walked off.
“And where do you think your going?” I called after him. He glanced over his shoulder and gave me a wink and a thumbs up.
“To get myself a date.”
My jaw dropped as he disappeared in to the crowd.
“What a low life.” I muttered.
Savrin laughed.
“Hey Quorra, how about it?” He asked. I turned and saw that Quorra really hadn’t gone far.
“Um...” she glanced at me. I nodded and gestured to the dance floor. “Sure why not?” Then the two of them were off.
I smiled as I watched them dance together. They made a cute couple. Haha. Oh gosh! I’m turning into my sister!

I hummed along with the music as I watched the people dance around gracefully from the sidelines.
Kylun had succeeded in getting a date. And she was way more prettier then I was. Oh brother.
“I don’t believe I’ve seen you before.” I jumped slightly and turned. My jaw dropped as I saw Genesis standing behind me.
“Your Majesty.” I dipped into another curtsy. He shook his head.
“Enough of the formalities. It’s Genesis.”
“I know.”
He opened his mouth to speak then shut it.
“And no, we haven’t met before. Though I have known about you. For quiet some time now.” I said. I didn’t want to say to much, I didn’t know what that could do.
He cocked his head slightly and slipped his hands into his pockets.
“Where are you from?”
“Oh... far away.” Definitely couldn’t tell him where! well, more like when.
“Hmm... Have you been here long?”
I nodded.
“Yes. For as long as I can remember.” Whoops! talk about a major slip up!
And the confusion registered onto his face.
“You are very confusing miss...?”
“Zaydie, your Highness.”
He shook his head.
“... Genesis.” I corrected. A smile played at the tips of his lips.
“Your a Shievan. How is that? You would have been in the records.” I smiled.
“Do you memorize everyone in those records?”
“Well... no.”
“Hmm.” I said with a smile. “Well happy 17th birthday.”
He nodded and looked out at he people dancing.
“Thank you. Though I can’t say there’s anything happy about it.” The dark look that has been on Kylun’s face so often crossed his.
They were so alike. Yet so different. But then I noticed.... the red tint.
Oh no.
For one moment, Genesis’ face changed to Havrin’s.
“Hiya Zaydie. What are you doing here?! Don’t you dare mess anything up!!” Oh he was so charming! Jerk.
I gave a curt nod. And he turned back to Genesis.
Genesis shook his head.
“Sorry about that.”
I forced a smile.
“it’s fine. Everyone gets headaches.”
Genesis sighed and offered me a hand.
“How about it Zaydie?” At first I was suffering from major déjà vu. But when I snapped out of it, I took his hand.
“Why not?”
Genesis smiled and led me out to the dance floor.

The music was airy and happy sounding. We moved back and forth as I tried to remember all the steps. We talked about various things, but nothing personal or anything. But I still considered it a great blessing to meet one of the Three before me.
We passed Kylun once, and his jaw dropped when he saw who I was dancing with. I sent him a sweet smile then looked back at Genesis.
So there! haha.

“Life is tough. And it’s worse when your a Prince, and then the Creator decides to-” He cut himself off, but I knew what he was talking about.
I nodded. “yeah... I know what you mean. And I can imagine it being hard if you constantly doubt yourself.” I said.
He gave me a curious look.
“What do you know?”
I hesitated.
“I know a lot more then any fifteen year old should. But, I use that knowledge to help other’s who are bound to darkness”
Genesis looked into my eyes for a long while.
It felt like he was looking right into my heart. Trying to figure out what I meant.
“You have someone close to you that’s lost in oblivion don’t you?”
I sighed and nodded.
“Yes. He’s given up on himself which makes it all the more harder to reach him.”
“yes... but I have a hunch that that’s only to save the ones closest to him.” I looked up at Genesis with a confused look.
“See, sometimes, people give up on themselves to save others. But in doing that, they lose themselves. “
I shook my head.
“What if I don’t want to be saved? what if I want to do the saving?”
That’s when Genesis actually laughed.
“Isn’t it the boy who comes to save the damsel in distress? Not the other way around?”
I shrugged.
“That’s been done millions of times! so why not shake it up a little?”
“I like your thinking Zaydie. Your right. To many times has the hero given up himself to save others.”
“Why can’t the other’s save him?”
“Hmm... good question. I guess they can. You just have to find the way.”
The dance ended.
And my time there was ending as well.
“Do that for me will you?” He asked. Quorra and Savrin started to walk up. I glanced around and found Kylun walking over with a smile I hadn’t seen before. Uh-oh.
“Save him.” I turned back to Genesis. I gave him a smile and nodded.
“I will. I promise.”
Genesis cocked his head and smiled.
“See you around Zaydie.” Then he walked off, and my friends came up next to me.
After my encounter with Genesis, it somehow made me even more happy to see Kylun. And with that smile, I only knew that it was something good.
When he came up next to me I threw my arms around his neck and gave him a tight hug.
I heard Quorra giggle then sigh. I could only imagine Savrin shaking his head.
Kylun hesitated, then I felt his arms wrap around my waist. Hugging me back ever so gently.
“You’ll never have to go anywhere alone Kylun. Never.” I whispered. I heard him gasp a little, then he squeezed me slightly harder.
“I’m glad Zaydie. I’m glad you’ll always be there. Right next to me.” He whispered back.
I smiled and let go of his neck.
I turned back to Savrin and Quorra.
Quorra was smiling, and Savrin gave me an approving nod.
I slipped my hand into Kylun’s, and offered my other to Quorra. She took it and slipped her other into Savrin’s. And together, we watched the ball room disappear before us, and the white paneled room appear again.
Still holding hands.
Still together.
Now,
and forever.
